Tattoos take 2 - 4 weeks to completely heal.

After getting tattooed leave your bandage on overnight.

Do not leave a bandage on more than 24 hours.

Remove bandage the next morning and wash new tattoo in the shower with warm water and unscented soap.

Be mindful when disposing your bandage so that your pets cannot try to eat it. (Yes, it happens sometimes, ha ha!)

Gently wash until the new tattoo is no longer slimy.

Rinse away all soap and pat dry with a clean towel.

Apply and massage a very minimal amount of unscented/fragrance free, water-based lotion.

Best types of moisturizers depending on skin types:

For Dry Skin or during winter months I recommend Vitamin E oil, Shea Butter (fragrance free), Aveeno (fragrance free)

For Non-dry Skin or during summer months I recommend Vitamin E lotion, Aveeno (fragrance free) or Raw Organic Coconut Oil

You do not need to purchase any special kind of lotions, just be sure to use something that is water-based and fragrance free.

Lotion can be applied in the morning after the shower and then again in the evening before bed. Please be sure to use a very minimal amount of lotion. If you over apply you may clog the pores of the skin in the surrounding area causing folliculitis. This will significantly increase the amount of time it will take for your tattoo to heal.

Always wash hands before applying lotion.

Wear loose clothing that will not irritate your new tattoo for the next 3-5 days.

Wash your new tattoo in the shower once a day.

Avoid hot tubs, baths and swimming for the first week as to allow your tattoo time to properly heal.

Avoid sun exposure to a new tattoo for 5-7 days. UV radiation from the sun will greatly damage an especially brand-new tattoo. Sunscreen can be applied to a tattoo once it is fully healed.
